  For those who would like to have a look at the placement history for students who received their PhD in philosophy at Northwestern in the past few years (since 1991), we offer a new chart that contains this information at a glance.

Below is a chart representing the placement of Ph.D.s from Northwestern's Philosophy Department since the 1990's. It is organized according to the years in which students received their degrees. For the sake of completeness, it includes graduates who decided not to pursue academic careers and graduates who are still looking for tenure-track positions. All listed academic positions are tenure track except for those marked with an asterisk. Those marked (*) are renewable, non-tenure track positions. [Note: most of the entries reflect either initial appointments or first tenure track appointments -which indicate activities of our placement-team. Later career-developments are not tracked here.]
