  Jürgen Habermas
Permanent Visiting Professor

Jürgen Habermas Doctorate, Bonn University. He has previously taught at the Universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt, from which he is emeritus, and served as the director of the Max Planck Institute in Starnberg, Germany. Many of his books and articles in moral, social, and political theory have been translated into English, including The Structural Transformation of the Public Sphere (MIT, 1989), Knowledge and Human Interests (Beacon, 1971), The Theory of Communicative Action (Beacon, 1984,1987), Between Facts and Norms (MIT, 1996) and The Inclusion Of The Other (MIT, 1998).
